What is G1?
G1 is Ontario's learner licence, the first level of graduated licensing. To get it, you must normally be at least 16, pass a vision test and pass a written knowledge test on road rules and signs. A G1 driver must drive supervised, with zero blood alcohol, and with other restrictions. Check the current rules in the Official MTO Driver's Handbook before your test.
